Rules & Guidelines
Last updated: April 4, 2020 at 4:33 am
We want Penguin Oasis to be a place that users can feel comfortable logging into. The below guidelines will be effective immediately to achieve this.
The following are not tolerated and will result in a warning on first offense. Continued misconduct may result in a ban ranging from 24 hours to forever, depending on the severity:
- Exploiting a bug or glitch for your personal gain. We encourage reporting these things to us via a support ticket instead.
- Cheating or creating an unfair advantage in multiplayer games. This includes botting, win trading, or artificially creating advantage for others (e.g., advertising yourself as a free win).
- You are also not allowed to use third-party programs on Penguin Oasis, such as CPPS trainers or packet sniffers.
- Engaging in targeted bullying, hate speech, or harassment. If someone is making you feel uncomfortable, you may report them. We also encourage blocking them from their playercard which not only makes you unable to see their messages, but their penguin as well.
- If you've been blocked by someone and attempt to circumvent it by making another account to bother them, harsher punishment will be given.
- Explicitly advertising other Club Penguin servers by sharing a link to it multiple times or actively encouraging others to play those servers instead of Penguin Oasis. To be clear, advertising does not include scenarios such as:
- Telling a friend you will be logging off of Penguin Oasis to play another server (which you mention by name) and asking them to join you.
- Talking about your experiences on another server or comparing it to Penguin Oasis, favorable or not.
- Sharing your social media that may have content dedicated to other servers.
- Pretending to own an account that does not belong to you and attempting to gain access to it, or have it's name and/or credits transferred to your account.
The following are severe and will not be tolerated whatsoever. Violating any of these will result in a permanent ban and without warning:
- Publicly sharing a user's or a user's relatives personal information without their consent, including but not limited to: their name, pictures, email, address, or IP address. This also includes:
- Sharing a user's social media or the social media of their family that contains information they may not want others to see, such as their real name, or pictures of themselves or family.
- Gaining access to an account that does not belong to you. In doing so we will revoke your access and permanently ban any accounts associated with you.
- Sharing illegal content on Penguin Oasis, including content relating to violence or exploitation of minors.
- Predatory behavior towards minors. If you have proof that someone has been acting inappropriately towards minors, please report them to us via a support ticket.
If a player is breaking the above guidelines, please report them from their playercard, or give a more detailed report to one of our in-game moderators. Moderators are designated by a badge on their playercard when you click them.
The community guidelines are susceptible to change at any time. The consequences of breaking the rules can vary depending on the severity and frequency. A team member can take action against you for any reason as long as it is justifiable. If your account has been punished in some way and you believe it to be unfair, you are allowed to contact us via support.
